Dr. Harry Yates
Pastor Yates's story cannot be told without Joanne,
as you will see when you read an overview of her life history.
Dr. Harry Yates was born in Sandusky, Ohio, and raised
in West Texas on his grandfather's ranch (as well as a lot of other
places, he says.)
In 1966, he graduated from Union College in Barbourville,
KY, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. Until 1969,
Harry taught school in Ohio and Alabama. That year, Harry became
a Christian, a “heart-altering miracle” that would shape
the new course of his life and eventually lead him into a full-time
ministry.
Since 1969, Harry has earned a Master’s degree
and three Doctorate degrees (in religious education, divinity, and
theology). He is also credited with co-founding the Bible Way Institute
International (now Warren Robbins University International) in Azle,
Texas, and founding and serving as the Dean of Evangel Temple Extension
Campus from the Christian International in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.
Once the head of a large recording studio, Harry has
written over 100 songs, produced numerous Gospel Music videos as
well as over 50 albums, and acted in live theatre including “Trail
of the Lonesome Pine,” “The Living Lord’s Supper,”
“Living Nativity,” “The Three Nails,” and
“Arsenic and Old Lace.”
An ordained minister since 1974, Harry, along with
Joanne and their children, has traveled all 50 states and 30 countries,
ministering through the Bible, with crusades in Ghana and West Africa,
and hosted numerous Holy Land Tours.
And this busy man has found time to write three books,
the latest titled "Help, I’m In The Ministry". A
true minister of the Word, Dr. Harry Yates truly lives what he preaches.
